Finally………. The new NFL season is about to get underway. As per usual it’s been a roller coaster of an off-season, which ended with the Houston Texans trading away all of their draft capital for the next 2 years so they could shore up an extremely shaky offensive line, with the addition of Dolphins tackle Laremy Tunsil. There has been plenty of off-season movement which I have kept abreast of, and I feel heading into the new season I am more than prepared to build on the results of the last 2 years.

So without further ado, my selections for the Thursday night opener are listed below:

Game: Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
Kick-Off: 01:20 GMT
Market: Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Selection: Davante Adams
Best Odds: 2.00 with Several
Next Best: 1.91 with Several
Lowest Acceptable Odds: 1.90
Comments: “Since the 2016 season, when he was named a full-time starter, Adams has scored an incredible 35 times in 45 starts. He also ranked 3rd in the NFL last season amongst wide-receivers in red-zone targets, not to mention he has scored 5 times in his last 6 starts against the Bears.”

Game: Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
Kick-Off: 01:20 GMT
Market: Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Selection: Anthony Miller
Best Odds: 3.75 with Several
Next Best: 3.50 with Several
Lowest Acceptable Odds: 3.00
Comments: “Despite only being on the field for 50% of the offensive snaps last season, Miller still managed to bag 7 touchdowns. With a full off-season to grow in that Adam Gase offence, he is primed for a big season, and should take some playing time away from Taylor Gabriel.”

Game: Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
Kick-Off: 01:20 GMT
Market: Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Selection: Jimmy Graham
Best Odds: 5.50 with Sky Bet
Next Best: 4.33 with Several
Lowest Acceptable Odds: 3.75
Comments: “ Graham is coming off one of his worst scoring seasons, having only found the end-zone twice, although he was the 6th most targeted TE in all of football last season, and with the Bears losing Adrian Amos to the Packers in the off-season, he may find some joy in the red-zone against ex-Packer Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.”

My selections for Sunday and Monday night football will be posted around lunchtime on Sunday as most bookies don’t finish pricing until then.

As per usual, stake 3% of your starting bankroll onto each selection. For those of you who prefer a points system, start with an initial betting bank of 100 points, and stake 3 points per selection.
