Spread and Totals Selections – Wildcard Weekend

Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills – Colts +7 @ 1.87 with Unibet

The Bills impressively crushed the Dolphins in what was a fairly meaningless game, whilst the Colts nearly faltered against a 1-15 Jacksonville Jaguars side. That being said, I believe the Colts match-up really well with the Bills, as they possess a lot of talent on the back end, which is where Stefon Diggs and co pose the greatest threat. Deforest Buckner has had a huge last quarter of the season, and will cause some disruption up front, allowing All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard to make plays all over the field. Another reason I like the Colts is the resurgence in their rushing attack, racking up 124.8 yards a game, with rookie Jonathan Taylor becoming a real force. Buffalo allowed nearly 2,000 yards on the ground this season, at 4.6 yards a carry, and a whopping 21 touchdowns. My only concern with the Colts is the loss of Anthony Costanzo on the offensive line, but Phillip Rivers should have enough pocket presence to overcome that. 7 points is big head start for a side that has only lost by more than a touchdown 3 times this season. With some fans expected to be attendance, it’s certainly a game that should provide some playoff atmosphere.

Chicago Bears at New Orleans Saints – Bears +9.5 @ 1.95 with Betfred

No, I’ve not gone crazy; I am indeed backing Da Bears. I don’t think they’ll manage to beat the Saints, but I certainly think they’ve got enough to keep it close, especially with Covid currently running through the Saints locker room. Since Mitchell Trubisky took his starting role back from Nick Foles he’s looked like a different quarterback, and has the offence averaging 30.2 points per game, whilst Trubisky has improved, the biggest change has been the reliance of David Montgomery who’s averaged 100 yards a game and found the end-zone 8 times in the same time span. For as good as the offence has been it’s the defence that will need to keep the Bears in this contest by disrupting Drew Brees. In their last 16 road games the Bears have only lost by 10 points or more on 2 occasions.

Totals

Rams at Seahawks – Over 42.5 points

All selections are advised at 1 point each, with a 100 point bankroll.
