We continued our great start to the new season as we go 3-1 last week, which takes us to 10-5 through week 3 and has return on investment sat at a very respectable 20%.
Spreads
Cleveland Browns at Minnesota Vikings – Vikings +2.5 @ 1.95 with Several (back down to +2)
Whilst the Browns sit at 2-1 who have they beaten? The Texans and the Bears, who both ended up with rookies under centre. Granted, they were impressive against the Chiefs on opening weekend, but I still see some frailties in that defence, especially on the back-end which will be exploited by Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. Coming off an impressive home win against the Seahawks they can quickly get back to .500 after considering themselves unlucky to lose to both the Bengals and Cardinals.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers – Seahawks +3 @ 1.88 with Mansion Bet (back down to +3)
The 49ers were 3-point favourites at home to the Packers, and are the same again this week versus the Seahawks, why? The offence isn’t exactly firing on all cylinders due to the lack of a running game, and as I said last week the defence isn’t the same right now since the departure of Robert Salah. The 49ers have lost 5 straight at home and 8 of their last 9, with Seattle winning 4 of their last 5 on the road. The 49ers have a real problem at corner, so expect them to have trouble containing Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers – Raiders +3.5 @ 1.96 with 10Bet (back down to +3)
I don’t think anyone expected the Raiders to start 3-0, but here we are. David Carr has been sensational, but the defence has looked vastly improved from last season at all levels with the additions of Yannick Ngakoue, Denzel Perryman, and Casey Hayward Jr (who will love facing his old side). The Raiders have a surprisingly good road record winning 8 of their last 11. Whilst the Chargers have a decent home record, they rarely close out games normally allowing the opposition to stay in touching distance which is why I like the +3.5.
Totals
Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Eagles – Under 55 points @ 1.91 with Several (back down to 54)
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers – Under 52.5 points @ 1.91 with Sky Bet (back down to 52)
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams – Under 55 points @ 1.91 with Will Hill (back down to 54)
Value in the unders between the Raiders and Chargers, but the head-to-head puts me off slightly, so it’s a no bet.
All selections are advised at 1 point each, with a 100 point bankroll.
